The dietitian’s planning brief

Structure a nutrition-planning discussion without replacing professional assessment.

25 min planningLV 9 · CoachNotebook or on-screen workspace

Your outcome

A fictional case brief and consultation agenda.

Is this a fit?

You can already use the earlier templates and want to think more carefully about planning, observation or coaching. Level does not grant a qualification or clinical scope.

Before you begin

Work through the prompts using a fictional case or your own non-sensitive observations. This is a planning session, not a harder physical workout. Do not include names, medical records or genetic data in the workspace.

Your working brief

  1. 01

    State the person’s priorities

    Planning prompt

Use a fictional case. Include food preferences, practical access, cooking facilities, schedule and what the person wants help with.

  2. 02

    Identify missing assessment

    Planning prompt

List the information a qualified dietitian would need before giving individual advice. Keep identifiers and clinical records out of this worksheet.

  3. 03

    Draft a collaborative approach

    Planning prompt

Describe possible meal structures, flexible alternatives and questions to resolve. Do not prescribe therapeutic restrictions from this template.

  4. 04

    Plan review and coordination

    Planning prompt

State how the person would give feedback, what consent is needed for coordination and when another professional should be involved.

Make it work for you

Use the earlier levels whenever they fit better. Advanced levels add planning and judgment; they do not require harder exercise, restrictive eating or a higher health score.
