Good questions.
Clear sources.
The Reading Room is a curated resource for people who want to understand their bodies a little better. We select useful reading and add brief context. We are not the source of the underlying reporting or research.
Follow the evidence
Each brief links to its source, includes a source date where verified and a separate source-check date, and identifies the kind of research. We distinguish observational findings, human trials, and animal studies, and keep important limitations beside the finding.
Give the original its due
Our summaries use fresh wording and send readers to the original publisher. We do not reproduce articles, photographs, charts, or video clips here. Source links are attribution, not a claim of partnership or permission to reuse the publisher’s work.
Know who did the work
These briefs were prepared with AI assistance and checked against the linked source using AI. They have not been reviewed by a clinician. They provide general education, not diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or individualized health advice.
Keep commercial interests visible
The current briefs contain no sponsorship or affiliate links. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed alongside the relevant content. A research finding alone is not evidence that a pHTNESS service or product will deliver the same result.
Make room for corrections
If a source changes, or a brief needs correction, we will update or withdraw it and record material corrections on the brief. When member accounts are activated, signed-in readers can submit a Reading Room correction through Support & data. A dedicated public editorial contact still needs to be established. For changes to the original article, follow the linked publisher.
